Will they, Won’t they? Death Grips watch! 3 days to go.

With Afropunk Atl being cancelled this weekend, the concert line up for the rest of this week is far over due and deserved for music lovers.

Kylesa bring their experimental sludge metal sound to our humble bay. I’m not much of a metal fan636x460design_01
But this bands incorporation of layered meldolodic psychedelic rock speaks to the hippie deep inside of me. Kylesa will be at the State Theater Oct.6 with Inter Arma.

Death Grips, will they won’t they? I think that is the biggest question of the week as the State theater prepares for the California punk/industrial/hip-hop duo to make an appearance Oct. 8th. But will they?

On their last visit to florida they were schedule to open for Nine inch Nails and Soundgarden, but canceled due to their break up. Hopefully this time Death Grips will stay together long enough to blow their fans away with a long overdue show.

Toro y Moi is also performing at the state theater this Friday, Oct. 9th. with special guest Astronauts and Astronauts Etc.
Its been a while since the chill-wave/funk/pop and indie rock/ the genre enigma Chaz Bundwick has visited the bay area.
I’ve been receiving “I just got my Toro tickets” texts since last week, along with the occasional humming of “Talamak”, fans seem eager to welcome him back.
I am beyond excited to see Toro y Moi plerform some material from his new album What For? I don’t think all of the youtube videos of him performing “Lilly” and “Buffalo” are doing it for me.
